Our client, a leading personal care product manufacturer, is hiring for a Commercial Director to add value to their team by identifying new commercial opportunities, managing client relationships, and accelerating growth.

The Commercial Director (EMEA)  will develop, lead, and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives to support and accelerate long-term profitable growth.

This position will also be responsible for working across multiple functions, including but not limited to Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and operations, and will conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.).

This position will be remote however flexibility to travel is a must (at least 50% of the time)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
  • Co-develop the annual sales plan alongside the CRO to include detailed sales forecast by customer/brand/channel, as well as providing real time updates to support operations and production planning.
  • Analyse threats and opportunities within your region and communicate this clearly to leadership.
  • Lead existing EMEA sales team by supporting them ongoing with proposals for new or existing accounts.
  • Manage existing client relationships; Understand the requirements of existing customers.
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing).
  • Work with the global sales team in the implementation of new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Work with global production, sourcing and planning teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams such as, planning, marketing, sales and customer service.
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Track, measure and analyse commercial metrics using KPIs and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring

 

 

Essential Experience

  • BS/BA in business administration, finance, or a relevant field
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Director or other relevant role within the EMEA region.
  • Managed and grown successful teams.
  • Created or contributed to a financial strategy, plan and implement.
  • Proven experience in sales or marketing and managing relationships with key clients.
  • Experience in Client Relationship Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Experience in the beauty/cosmetic industry will be advantageous.
