We are delighted to have been retained by a global leader of both Products and Services within the Personal Care market, due to expansion and growth plans in Europe they are looking to hire an experienced European Sales Manager.

As European Sales Manager for personal care ingredients division, you will be responsible for the implementation of sales strategies, providing strategic vision and tactical direction. Your ambition, hunger and drive to understand consumer market trends, NPD, market dynamics is vital for the success of the strategic growth of the business.

As a European Sales Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with key local & European customers and distribution partners. Your primary focus will be on maximising sales and profits, ensuring the success of sales and marketing strategies to achieve our clients’ international sales goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work independently to manage and grow a number of local accounts and distributors in the territory defined as Europe.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for growth and profitability.
  • Analyse cost structures and margin necessary for meeting profitability targets.
  • Prepare forecasts, budget reports, sales analysis and other reports as required.
  • Prepare and create Presentations for successful promotion of the business/products and services.
  • Maintain and build distributor relationships through visits and correspondence and provide performance feedback to management.
  • Prepare and conduct technology training sessions and participate in trade shows within the defined territory.
  • Work in partnership with other departments to ensure goals are met and distributors are given appropriate support and timely feedback.

Essential Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the personal care specialty chemicals field.
  • Driver’s License.
  • Computer Skills to be able to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications and CRM software.
  • Experience of both base commodities or speciality ingredient portfolios.
  • Knowledge of consumer trends within the personal care sector
  • Experienced in budget management, sales forecasting.
