We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join a distinguished manufacturing company located in West Yorkshire. This position is newly created within the company in response to its significant growth in 2023.

Guiding the operational excellence of supply chain functions, with a particular focus on ensuring timely delivery from our client’s suppliers, production facilities, and to both Aftermarket and Original Equipment customers. Your role extends to implementing advanced supply chain methodologies, fostering best practices to enhance operational efficiency, and actively contributing to our sales growth initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to establish strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Streamline logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to meet customer demand and minimise lead times.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management best practices to achieve optimal stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
  • Analyse and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards within the supply chain function.

Essential Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience of management within the industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and procurement strategies.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
